What do you enjoy most about your role at Eventus?

I love working with my amazing colleagues, who are passionate about helping people’s careers, and being able to bring new ideas to the table.

How do you switch off and unwind after work?

Before I leave work, I always ensure I have a plan for the next day. It allows me to switch off as I finish work and I’m not worrying about anything on an eventing. I like to watch TV or to sit outside with a book in the summer.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Being a country girl, I enjoy the outdoors. Whether that be hiking, swimming, motorcycling, gardening or having a gin in the garden. Recently, I’ve also taken up sewing as a hobby and so I far I’ve made cushions, sunglasses cases and purses.

Top tip that you would give to a professional who is looking for a new career opportunity?

Be proactive. Always keep in your mind the driving factors for making a job move to spur you on in your job search and you won’t look back once you’ve found the perfect opportunity. Contact a recruiter – they can ease the burden of job searching if you are working and they can find job opportunities that you might not be able to find on your own.

Perfect your job adverts. Take time writing them and include as much detail as possible to ensure they stand out to candidates.
